I echo what all of our classmates have said about Greg. I'll never forget how he got all of us to wear suits to school our senior year. We made the teachers have to upgrade their outfits and the younger class's complained about how we were trying to change the dress code on our way out. My children have heard that story and it all came about because of Greg. I smile when I think of you and my prayers are with your family and friends Greg.

My thoughts and prayers to Greg's family and friends. Greg was definitely a cat lover. I, on the other hand, am a dog lover. But as animal lovers, we shared a lot of stories about our feline and canine companions. He shared many stories about his cat rescue adventures too. I know that he took in many stray cats and did what he could to find them homes. So, when a stray calico cat took up residence under my house, Greg was my go to man. He gave me instructions on how to take care of the cat and befriend it in hopes that I could capture it and bring it to the humane society so they could find a good home for it. Well, one day, probably 5 days into following his instructions to my surprise, I saw 4 kittens peek their heads out from under my house three white and one tabby they were adorable! I was so excited that I called Greg to share the news!!! He continued to give me instructions on how to care for the mother and the kittens till I was able to corral them and get them to the humane society. Both Greg and I watched the humane society site till we saw that each kitten and the mother had found new homes. It was a wonderful memory and one that I will cherish. He will be missed.

My wife and I would like to express our sincere Condolences to the Mortensen Family.

I met Greg in 1977 at Omaha Cathedral High School. Greg is a great friend, if you needed anything Greg was always there to help.

Any job Greg took on, he excelled at, gave it his 110%. I remember one time Greg was working at Builders Supply in Omaha putting together window casings, he figured a way to put the window casings together faster and set a record for the most window casings assembled in an 8 hour shift, then any other worker at Builders Supply. Greg was a dedicated, hard working guy. In November, I had an issue with my lap top computer, I sent Greg a text on my issue, Greg responded in two minutes instructing me on what to do. I follow Greg's instructions and was able to get my lap top computer working again. I will truly miss Greg.

Sincerely,
Dean Otte
